A major Greenock traffic route is closing for nearly 10 weeks as part of a larger regeneration project.
Baker Street will be shut between Drumfrochar Road and Ingleston Street and Drumfrochar Road will be shut between Baker Street and Lynedoch Street while road realignment work takes place.
The closure is scheduled to last from Tuesday 25 September until Friday 30 November 2018. Drivers are being advised to divert via Inverkip Road.
The £3million project will mean the sharp corner between Baker Street and Drumfrochar Road, at the top of Baker’s Brae, is removed by cutting through the site of former industrial buildings.
There will also be landscaping, new traffic lights and improving sight lines as well as the development of Baker Street Food and Drink Enterprises.
The scheme is due to be completed in spring 2019.
