Riverside Inverclyde (Ri), the organisation delivering the economic redevelopment of Inverclyde, has launched a Hot Desk facility at Ladyburn Business Centre to provide short-term and flexible desk space for businesses.

The Ri Hot Desk is an ideal space for start-up businesses, sales professionals and businesses visitors to Inverclyde that require a temporary and professional base during their stay.

Set within the existing Business Centre in Greenock, the facility offers three individual desk spaces and two combined desks which can seat up to four and includes Wifi connectivity, refreshments and free parking facilities, all within a secure setting.

Andrew Bowman, Head of Business Investment at Ri said:

“The Hot Desk facility is something we have been focusing on for some time at Ri, to meet the regular demand we receive for daily and short-term hire.

“We view the space as being ideal for start-up businesses, which don’t wish to be saddled with high and fixed overheads while in early development and can pay as they use.

“With the vast majority of Ri’s portfolio offers longer-term solutions for businesses, we see the Hot Desk facility as an enabler for Ri to support all sizes and types of businesses as well as welcome those from outwith the Inverclyde area.”

Ri welcomed its first user George McKay, who lives in Gourock and is the Business Development Manager at Red Media, located in Finnieston in Glasgow.

George said:

“The new Ri Hot Desk facility is the perfect environment to enable me to work locally, while also providing the ability to host my local clients at Ladyburn for meetings.

“I was struck by how bright and welcoming the space is, with plenty of good light from the windows, especially the stained glass original and all within a professional setting.

“The Wifi connection is excellent, with kitchen, toilet and parking facilities well above par, making this a nice base to work. I will be a regular user of the Ri Hot Desk.”

The Hot Desk facility follows the launch of the short-term Meeting Room hire by Ri in 2018, which has proven to be very popular with training providers including The Wise Group and St Andrew’s Ambulance.

The Ri Hot Desk facility is available to rent from £25 + VAT per day or £50 + VAT per week.
