Custom House Goes Green for Inverclyde Environment Week

Riverside Inverclyde is proud to announce its participation in the Inverclyde Goes Green campaign to celebrate Inverclyde Environment Week. RI will be lighting The Custom House building green from 23th – 28th July to mark the event and show support  for Inverclyde Environment Week.

There are various events and activities taking place from Thursday 26th July – Saturday 28th July to mark Inverclyde Environment Week.



Buzzing about Grassland event takes place on Thursday 26th July from 10:30am-3pm at Inverkip Community Hub Centre.

Learn why species-rich grasslands are an important part of our farming landscape.  How can we better utilise these areas within our farming systems? Does mob grazing work on these sensitive grasslands, and most importantly, how can we profit from these native pastures?

The event will include a trip to a local farm and is open to all, and free to attend, however spaces are limited. For further information click here.


Wildflower Conference event takes place on Friday 27th July from 11am-3pm at The Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock.

If you love wildflowers and want to know more about how to grow a meadow, or if you are a contract maintenance, garden design or professional landscape architect, this conference with expert guest speakers will be both an inspirational and practical guide. Inverclyde Community Eco Fun Day takes place on Saturday 28th July from 1pm-4pm at Belville Community Garden, Greenock.

There will be lots of fun activities taking place including; bouncy castle, face painting, smoothie bike, harvest free fruit and many more.
