Free GDPR Clinic With Anderson Strathern For Inverclyde Businesses

Riverside Inverclyde in collaboration with Anderson Strathern is delighted to announce it will be hosting a free GDPR drop-in clinic for Inverclyde businesses.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on May 25, 2018, and was designed to modernise laws that protect the personal information of individuals.

With the regulation now in force, Riverside Inverclyde is offering 20-minute appointments for any businesses looking to confirm that they have made the correct and necessary changes to their business and how they handle, store and process data.

Paul Brown and Douglas McLachlan, both partners at the Scottish law firm, will be available to speak with businesses from 9-12pm on Wednesday 22 August at Ladyburn Business Centre in Greenock.

Andrew Bowman, Head of Business Investment and Operations at Riverside Inverclyde said:

"Despite the GDPR regulation changes now being law, there is still a large number of businesses that are unsure as to whether their internal amendments have gone far enough to cover the requirements.

"This relaxed and appointment based event will provide businesses privacy and confidentiality as well as free access to the fantastic Paul and Douglas from Anderson Strathern, who we would like to thank for supporting this event.

"I'd strongly advise businesses that are unsure to come along and take advantage of this available expertise."

Time slots can be booked via email - please contact Andrew Bowman to book your place - andrewb@riversideinverclyde.com.
