Riverside Inverclyde's The Custom House received a commendation at the Scottish Design Awards in the 'Re-use of a Listed Building' category, sponsored by Urban Realm.

The awards took place on Thursday 23 August 2018 at The Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

Nominated by project architects Elder + Cannon, the Greenock landmark has been a six-year £6 million restoration project for Riverside Inverclyde

The category, sponsored by AstuteFire, saw The Russell Institute in Paisley pick up the top award, another Elder + Cannon project.

As a result of the completed works, the Long Room and associated rooms remains the last remaining available space at the refurbished Greenock landmark.
