Creative Inverclyde Launches Assembly #01

Creative Inverclyde has announced its next event under a new format - Assembly #01.

From music and architecture to art and film, Inverclyde has always had an incredibly creative community. To further support this, Creative Inverclyde has developed 'Assembly', a series of talks and events from amazing creatives based in or from Inverclyde with inspiring stories to tell.

Designed to encourage discussion, share ideas and foster collaboration, Creative Inverclyde aims to champion the creative community and make people aware of the undoubted creative talent hailing from Inverclyde who are making a difference to the local community and on a global scale.

Assembly is blending together art, television, broadcast, event architects, production and film in one program of three very talented creatives based or from Inverclyde.

The guest speakers are:

David Tanner

David Tanner is one of the UK’s most accomplished broadcasters, instantly recognisable as a live football TV presenter and with a growing reputation as one of the best event hosts on the circuit.

Having grown up in Gourock, David has led live coverage of UEFA Champions League football, Scotland international fixtures and Scottish domestic league and cup matches for nearly 20 years at Sky Sports, interviewing and rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the sport in the process – including Ronaldo and Messi.

He hosts "In Conversation With David Tanner", a sports chat show for BT Sport, “The Scottish Football Show” on TalkSPORT radio and presents a variety of social media programmes and associated content for corporate clients, including Ladbrokes and Coral.

A consummate and reliable host of events and conferences in the worlds of business, sport and charity, David is also experienced in delivering voice over work, podcasts, corporate videos and other sponsored content.

Louise Hunter

Louise is the founder and driving force behind Summerhouse Media, a bespoke creative and international events company.

Louise founded Summerhouse Media in 2007 having built an impressive portfolio during her eighteen years with the Financial Times as Regional Director for Africa, the Middle East and the Indian Sub-Continent and latterly as Global Director of Conferences.

Clients have included The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Times and Sunday Times and the London Evening Standard.

Louise developed The Festival of Education, which has grown to become one of the most highly-regarded events in the Education space, so much so that Bob Geldof called it “Swots Glasto”.

She has worked with many names, from politicians to artists to celebrities; has transformed a pumphouse into the bow of the Titanic, hoovered the sand out a Bedouin tent after a sandstorm (yes really!) and transformed a swimming pool into a stage set to name a few challenges.

Louise feels enormously privileged to have worked and travelled in some very difficult countries, witnessed historical moments first hand. Her mantra is “never forget you have a choice”. Having lived away for the past 30 years, Louise has now returned to live full time in Gourock and is one of the co-founders of Creative Inverclyde.
